Brazil is a vast country with an incredible range of both scenery and climate. Southern Brazil boasts a beautiful coastline with a huge diversity of flora and fauna in a unique Atlantic rainforest. The jungle capital of Manaus in the North West is the perfect base from which to explore the Amazon basin by boat or on foot.
Remember, all our expeditions are created bespoke so you're not restricted by what you see here. If you're undecided about where to go, just call us, we love sharing ideas.
The world really is your oyster!
Teams can choose to spend a few days taking in the sights and sounds of Brazil in the World famous coastal city of Rio de Janeiro. Teams could take a cable car up the mountain to Pao de Acucar, for some incredible views overlooking the city.
The trekking options in Brazil are enormous; teams may choose to fly to Manaus, the jungle capital, and go by boat to do a remote jungle trek. Alternatively teams could opt for a shorter trek through the rare Atlantic coastal rainforest near Rio, or the Serra Do Mar mountain range in the Serra de Orgaos National Park.
In this valuable and rewarding phase teams can volunteer and take part in a variety of environmental or community based projects. Past examples include working with an orphanage, building a playground, concreting floors or rebuilding classrooms and planting trees as part of a reforestation project. Organising a football match in the local community is a great way to interact! All projects are chosen in consultation with the community to ensure their needs are met.
Teams can enjoy some of Brazil’s highlights such as a boat trip to see the Amazon pink river dolphin or a few days to enjoy Rio and it’s stunning coast.
Our Brazilian adventure is graded as moderate, however some more challenging days can be expected when trekking in the mountains or jungle. The fitter you are the more you will enjoy the expedition.
