The world really is your oyster!
On arrival in Ghana, teams will spend some time in the cosmopolitan capital of Accra to begin adjusting to the African climate. From here they will head to the Volta region to experience rural Ghana.
Ghana has some beautiful walks, especially around the eastern region, near the border with Togo. Teams wishing to do a short trek can choose to do a 1 or 2 day hikes in the Lake Volta region. Mount Afadjato offers a more challenging climb, or teams may also opt to trek the Wli Falls, the highest waterfall in West Africa.
Ghana is an ideal destination for teams wishing to focus on project work during their expedition. At the school the students will be welcomed with open arms, they can work alongside the local children to help with English lessons and help to renovate a section of the school.
Ghana offers a stunning 500km stretch of coastline to enjoy before your return. Cape Coast hosts rich colonial and slaver history, and Kakum National Park holds a diverse ecosystem of African Wildlife.
Our
Ghana adventure is graded as easy to moderate or levels 1 to 3. Treks and
activities can be chosen to fit every level and ensure all students have an
enjoyable and rewarding expedition. It is always true though, that the fitter
you are the more you will enjoy your expedition.

Ghana has a tropical climate with two distinct wet and dry seasons, and has high temperatures year round. July/August sits firmly in the dry season, but remains hot and humid.
Culture
Hosts a diverse mix of ethnic groups, with Christianity being the dominant religion.
